This battery is the same that comes with the starter kit. Automatic means that the battery provides power to refill by pressure changes. This change happens when you suck air through the refill. There is a computer chip in the battery that detects this and thus provides power to refill. Comes fully charged. Charging takes about 2.5 hours.
